A key purpose of the @RISK is to provide the data that will ensure that the 20 Critical Controls (the US and UK benchmark for effective protection of networked systems) continue to be the most effective defenses for all known attack vectors. But since it is also valuable for security practitioners, SANS is making it available to the 145,000 security practitioners who have completed SANS security training and others at their organizations who hope to stay current with the offensive methods in use.

Title: Cisco Release Security Advisory for IKEv1 Flaw Disclosed in Shadowbroker's Leak Description: Cisco has released a security advisory for CVE-2016-6415, an information disclosure vulnerability in Cisco IOS. This vulnerability was disclosed to the public in an information leak posted by the Shadowbrokers in August 2016. Title: Researchers Disclose Remotely Exploitable Flaws Patched By Tesla in Model S Cars Description: Researchers at Keen Security Lab have disclosed several critical security vulnerabilities in Tesla Model S cars that were patched. The vulnerabilities in question could have been used to remotely control the vehicles to perform actions such as turn on or off the blinkers, adjust the side mirrors, and force the car to brake without physical intervention by the driver. Telsa and Keen Security Lab are currently withholding details of the vulnerabilities, but do note that "it required very specific prerequisites." These vulnerabilities were responsibly disclosed and Tesla has released a software update to addressed the vulnerabilities.
